ser·en·dip·i·ty Pronunciation[ser-uhn-dip-i-tee]
–noun 1. an aptitude for making desirable discoveries by accident.
2. good fortune; luck
I was shooting a wedding at Franklin Park Conservatory where I meet this really cool, laid back minister who commented on my easy, fun approach to photographing. As we were exchanging cards I came to the understanding that he was the husband of a friend of mine, but we had never met.
The next day his wife, Teanna, calls and says she has been meaning to get photos of her second newborn, Elijah, but was waiting for the perfect opportunity. She felt the universe had presented her with this serendipitous occasion of her husband and I running into each other and she was going to act on it.
The photo shoot felt easy and relaxed, flowing from one room to the next and then out the door, down the path to the river out behind their house. It was a beautiful day and the kids were so much fun to be with, it was hard for me to leave!
I love when fortunate things happen with very little effort.
