It is really quiet around here...

At the beginning of June, I officially became a professional full time photographer. That is, I was no longer trying to juggle another part time job as a child care provider on top of my already busy photo schedule.

I have to admit, doing child care felt self indulgent because I really like babies, toddlers, and kids of all ages. It was time for me to step back from the post production of weddings and also great inspiration for my photography. Maybe I am only saying this now because it is so quiet around here that I beg the cats to come inside to hang out me. I go to the door hoping to catch the Rumpke guys picking up recycling or the mail man blasting his radio (used to piss me off when the kids were napping, now I run to the door to say "Hi").

Here I grow through another transition hopeful and scared but always along for the ride. I reflect with images of "my kids" taken in the moments of knowing one chapter was ending while the other had long begun...
