The Ohio State Fair Art Exhibit

The annual Ohio State Fair is coming up in August and the art exhibit is always amazing with artist throughout Ohio. This year I thought it would be fun to submit a couple of photographs for showing.

I have always loved "The" Ohio State Fair since I was a little girl growing up in rural northwest Ohio. My brothers, sister, mom, and grandpa would pile into the car early in the morning to beat the heat (as they say on farm land), finding shade in the dairy barn where the infamous butter statue would be in all it's great mass (what do they do with all that butter?).

The sky lift with all its looming dangling greatness would beckon me at the end of a blacktop beaten day, yet teetered my sense of gravity with thoughts of cables snapping (overactive imagination).
Corn on the cob dripping butter in between the holes of my jelly shoes (the butter statue from last year).

Log rolling lumberjacks, infomercials all under one roof, and vinegar fries waterlogged like dead worms in a cup...yummy!!

I could go on and on about my Fair traditions but I won't bore you.

I do want to hear what you think of my photo submission, so please comment...
